Violators will be prosecuted to the maximum extent possible. Except as expressly provided herein, DHD does not grant any express or implied right to you under any patents, copyrights, trademarks, or trade secret information.

Trademarks. Unless otherwise indicated, all product and service marks and logos displayed on the Site are subject to the trademark rights of Discovery House Publishers (DHP), or other trademark owners as indicated. The absence of a product or service name or logo from this site does not constitute a waiver of any trademark or other intellectual property rights concerning that name or logo.

Your Account

In consideration for your use of the service provided on dhdlanka.lk, you agree to provide true, accurate, up to date and complete information about yourself as asked for in the Registration Form. You also agree to promptly update your personal information from time to time to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.

• Account usage. DHD allows you to have additional family household members access your DHD account. You are solely responsible for all usage of the account. You shall not assign, transfer, resell, sub-license, or otherwise distribute your right or access to your DHD account. You represent and warrant that:

1. You are at least 18 years of age or the age required or allowed under applicable law for providing the required account information

2. All information that you submit is true and accurate

3. You are an individual authorized to provide the account information. You agree to comply with your responsibilities and obligations as stated in the Terms.

• Termination of Account. DHD reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend your DHD account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may terminate your DHD account at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination of your account in DHD, your right to use DHD immediately ceases.

Terms and Conditions of Sales

All orders accepted are subject to these terms and conditions of sale, which supercede any previous terms and conditions. All descriptions and illustrations contained in this website are only intended to give a general idea of the products, and specifications may vary slightly (sometimes on cover design).

• Price and Availability. Although every effort is made to ensure that products are available, all offers are subject to availability. Prices are valid at the time of display, but may change at the discretion of DHD.

• Order Processing. Orders will only be processed after full payment has been made. Pending the receipt of your payment, we will hold the order for up to 7 working days. During a regular Monday through Friday business week, 5 working days (after payment) are required to process and verify orders. Please allow additional processing time if you place your order on a holiday or on the weekends. You will receive a notification email once your order has been processed. If we do not receive any confirmation of your payment within the stipulated 7 working days, your order will be cancelled automatically.

Important Note : Please send us your name, contact number and order number along with your Cheque or Postal Order. For Direct Banking and Internet Banking, you may email us at: dhd_lk@rbc.org or simply call us on 011 492 0420 to inform us of the payment made. 

To avoid any delay in the processing or cancellation of your order, you are advised to provide us with the above mentioned details as evidence of payment. You will receive a notification email when the payment has been received by us.

• Reservation of Title. The risk of the goods passes to the buyer upon delivery from the carrier, but the TITLE in the goods remain vested in us and shall only pass from us to the buyer upon full payment made by the buyer, of all sums due on whatsoever account or grounds to us.

Disclaimer of Warranties

• General. DHD makes no representation or warranty that

(i) The Site will meet your requirements,

 

(ii) The Site or information will be uninterrupted, timely, accurate, secure, or error-free,

 

(iii) The results that may be obtained from the use of the Site will be accurate or reliable or

 

(iv) The quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you through the Site will meet your expectations. DHD undertakes no obligation to update, amend, or clarify the Site.

• No Warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site is provided “AS IS” and with all faults without any express or implied warranty of any kind. DHD hereby disclaims all warranties and conditions with regard to the Site and information, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, title, non-infringement, fitness for a particular purpose, lack of viruses, accuracy or completeness, results, and lack of negligence. The entire risk arising out of use of the Site and information remains with you.
